Katrina Sluis is an artist and writer who holds the post of Curator (Digital Programmes) at the Photographers’ Gallery, London and Senior Lecturer at London South Bank University where she also teaches. 
Her recent writing has been featured in journals including Photographies, Philosophy of Photography and ArteEast.

In her own practice she works with photography, video and text to explore materiality, archiving and transmission in relation to the digital image. She is a contributor to the forthcoming books The Blackwell Companion to Photography (ed. Stephen Bull) and The Photographic Image in Digital Culture (ed. Martin Lister, 2nd edn). Recent exhibitions curated at The Photographers’ Gallery include Born in 1987: The Animated GIF and Susan Sloan: Motion Capture Portraits.
